New York State requires all dogs to be licensed annually. Once the dog reaches 4 months of age or older, the dog owner must license the dog with the Town Clerk's office. To license your dog you must present the following information:
- A copy of the current rabies certificate; and
- Verification from a veterinarian that the dog has been spayed or neutered (if applicable)

If your dog’s rabies vaccination has expired, you will need to provide the updated vaccination certificate to the Town Clerk’s office prior to renewing the license online. You can email the updated rabies certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax it to 585-394-9476.
