TOWN OF CANANDAIGUA CODE ENFORCEMENT EARNS TOP RECOGNITION
(Canandaigua, NY) – Canandaigua Town Code Enforcement Officer Christopher Jensen has been recognized as the first Master Code Professional in the State of New York by the International Code Council (ICC).
“We are all delighted to recognize Chris’ achievement as a Master Code Professional”, said Doug Finch Canandaigua’s Town Manager. “Chris’ commitment to the highest quality construction and code enforcement is vital to assist with the local protection of the residents of the Town of Canandaigua through the highest level of knowledge in terms of building codes.”
The Master Code Professional (MCP) is the highest level of certification the Code Council offers. The Code Council has certified thousands of individuals, but only a small select number have attained this high level of achievement, approximately 800 individuals. This special group is awarded the gold-colored Code Council lapel pin in addition to the MCP Certificate.
To obtain this level of certification requires and demonstrates commitment to the profession, diverse knowledge of codes, and a high level of self-initiative.
The Canandaigua Town Board recognized Mr. Jensen’s achievement through a special resolution during their meeting on March 20, 2017. Mr. Jensen has been with the Town of Canandaigua since 2014. Click here to view the certificate presentation to CEO Jensen.
