The New 2016-17 Hunting & Trapping Regulations guide is available online now at http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/37136.html. Hard copies of the guide
s will also be available at all license issuing locations in early August.
DMPs will be available at all license issuing agent locations and can also be obtained by phone or online through close of business October 1, 2016. DMPs are issued through a random selection process and customers will be provided with the result of their DMP selections immediately. The chances of obtaining a DMP remain the same throughout the application period - hunters do not need to rush to apply for a DMP on the first day of sale. For planning purposes, please review the 2016 chances of selection. Charts of the chances of selection for DMPs in each WMU are available on DEC's website at http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/30409.html, at license issuing agent locations, or through the DMP Hotline at 1-866-472-4332.
