THE TOWN'S UNITED WAY FOOD DRIVE WAS A
On April 15, 2015, the Town of Canandaigua and the Town of Victor met up at the Zion Fellowship in Canandaigua to have their donations officially judged for the United Way Food Drive competition. The Town of Canandaigua, led by the Cheshire Fire Department, submitted SIX TRUCKLOADS full of food items, personal care products and locally produced plates and cups! WOW! It's obvious to everyone that the winner here is: the community! With your hard work and generosity, we were able to help refill the eleven food pantries across Ontario County!
The employees of the Town, as well as the United Way, want to thank the individuals and families that made a special effort to drop off goods at the Town Hall and Transfer Station. We wanted to give a special thanks to the organizations and businesses that went above and beyond to provide assistance, including
Pactiv, Seneca Foods, the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department, the Canandaigua City Fire Department, the Canandaigua City School District and Athletics, Flowers by Stella, Junior/Cadette Troop 40315, the Villas @ Canandaigua, and many many more that donated their time and efforts toward this worthy cause!
We also wanted to give an extra thanks to Victor Town Supervisor Jack Marren for being such a good sport - he will look great in Braves' cherry & gray!
